Nalini Sharma's UNTIL DEATH is a solo show combining absurd theater and clown, set in a hospital where time collapses and humans panic in moments of death and existence. Inspired by her childhood, during which she survived more than one motorcycle accident, the stories are an amalgam of the real people (and animals) she encountered and her imagination that kept her alive. Through them she explores the tenacity of spirits that are fighting for their lives and discovering who they are.
Nalini Sharma has been described as a hilarious, beautiful, soulful firecracker by both her friends and enemies. As savage, classy, bougie, ratchet by all her exes. And a giant pain in the ass by her mother.
She spent her childhood on several naval bases in India and grew up in several small towns in the U.S. She was raised by an untrained Doberman, and has survived more than one motorcycle accident leading her to spend quite a bit of time in hospitals. To avoid any more trauma, she has resorted to surviving juice cleanses in Los Angeles. Although these are now becoming traumatic to her as well.
