★ The Telephone Gospel (Forget About Spaghetti Festival)

FORGET ABOUT SPAGHETTI FESTIVAL: 10 NIGHTS OF WILD NEW SHOWS. SEE WHAT STICKS!

*PROOF OF FULL VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR ENTRY*

It’s a childhood game of Telephone, except instead of whispering ear-to-ear, one performer is given a seed word to create a performance piece which they pass on to the next artist, and so on. Over the course of several weeks multi-discipline performance artists attempt to capture the originating theme in their piece … with only the first artist in line knowing the secret seed phrase for it all.

Created by eight-time Broadway actress Vasthy Mompoint and TV/film actress Geri Courtney-Austein (Better Call Saul, Atypical), the two thread the material with ever-evolving characters and sketches, melding these artistic disciplines into a wild collaborative adventure. The Telephone Gospel is an immersive exploration of the human lens through which a singular word is passed along, distorted through art to discover what is gained and lost along the way. It is the audience’s task at the end to identify the seed phrase, with whoever can do so crowned Supreme.
