★ The Jeffersons (Forget About Spaghetti Festival)

FORGET ABOUT SPAGHETTI FESTIVAL: 10 NIGHTS OF WILD NEW SHOWS. SEE WHAT STICKS!

*PROOF OF FULL VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR ENTRY*

You’re invited to a live sitcom taping of The Jeffersons, America’s favorite TV show about the life of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Heming’s slave family at Monticello. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and hopefully you’ll contemplate your place in the gordian knots of racial and family dynamics in the US. Also, you’ll do whatever the audience cue cards tell you to, because you’re a part of this too! A unique combination of stage play, filmed sketch, stand up, and audience participation based on the classic 70’s TV show (and 400+ years of Black oppression in America), the Jeffersons is not your granny’s sitcom.

With Malloy Moseley

Malloy Moseley is a self-proclaimed "Zillennial Mulatta" comedian who resists branding because it reminds her of slavery and tacky clothing. With an eye for revisionist history and comedic absurdism, she likes to call out the elephant in the room and ride it. She has recently written on Little Demon (FX) and PRIMO (freevee), and co-hosts The Witching Hour at the Elysian (no, Mercury is not currently retrograde).

This show is part of The Elysian's FORGET ABOUT SPAGHETTI FESTIVAL from October 20th to 30th.
