*SOLD OUT* Rory and Chad Win Comedy Tonight PRESENTS THE PLAY: THE REHEARSAL

* Cocktail attire will be mildly enforced

(This is a big night -- have a little respect for yourselves)

When is art process and when is it performance?

How can we tell the difference between audience and performer?

Now that Rory Scovel and Chad Damiani have been permanently banned from our premises, The Elysian is proud to bring real theater back to Monday nights. Chad and Rory Win Comedy Tonight Presents The Play: The Rehearsal  is more than just a show -- and yet is it a show at all?  We can only promise brave theater-goers one thing. This immersive indoor experience will provide far more questions than answers. (Producer's note: since this may or may not be a show, there are no refunds.)

This show is SOLD OUT. There will be a standby line at the door 30 min before showtime.

Rory Scovel is a stand-up comedian, writer and performer who currently stars in the Apple TV+ series PHYSICAL.

His standup has been featured on Comedy Central, CONAN and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Rory has a Netflix special entitled Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time, and a recent improvised stand-up special entitled Live Without Fear.

His numerous film and television credits include the TBS’ Ground Floor, NBC’s Undateable, Modern Family, Showtime’s Black Monday, NBC’s Superstore, Amy Schumer’s I Feel Pretty, Jody Hill’s The Legacy of A Whitetail Deer Hunter alongside Danny McBride and Josh Brolin, and more.

He currently co-hosts the Team Coco podcast Pen Pals w/ Daniel & Rory.

Chad Damiani has spent over a decade as one of the architects of LA’s dynamic modern clown scene. He leads CLOWN ZOO (an all-star ensemble that employs theatrical mask) and is the creator/star of the hit monthly show STAND UP AND CLOWN - where he directs well-known stand-ups as they attempt clown work for the first time. He also performs solo work at traditional comedy clubs and variety shows — including regular spots for the international sensation STAMPTOWN and an appearance on AGT. In 2024, Chad will appear in TBS’s reboot of JOE SCHMO as a series regular.

When Chad isn’t traveling and teaching, he’s often working for the Vegas-based circus powerhouse Spiegelworld (he’ll be appearing in the upcoming Formula One-themed clown show BOX BOX this November). In past lives, Chad worked as a Blacklist-winning screenwriter and as an announcer for World Championship Wrestling (where he learned from the greatest physical storytellers in the world).
