If you’ve been to Playspace, your local weekly clown jam, you know that EVERYONE gets to go up on stage. Whatever it is, wherever you’re at, or what you had for breakfast, the stage is open for you to cook - clown numbers, ranting characters, odd interactive group sketches that don’t fit anywhere - if it comes from a love of playing together, it lives here.

After two years and literally thousands of bits that have graced The Elysian stage, finally Playspace Presents a showcase of crowd-favorite acts and ensemble numbers that have come alive at Playspace, created by the community, for the community.

Playspace was started in 2022 by Rachel Ho, Paul Schlesinger, and Will Duncan as a free open stage for clowns and alt-comedians to practice, try new material, play together, and build community. Playspace provides weekly stage time, facilitates clown jams, and features guest directors, teachers, and hosts, and is committed to maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment for exploration, experimentation, collaboration, and sharing.
