It All Started in the Garage

This is one of our 2024 Spaghetti Festival mainstage shows! Be the first to see this great idea come to life onstage in the Elysian’s annual festival that showcases wild new works of daring and uncategorizable shows from emerging talent.

Jake Timeline invites you into his creator garage to meet Pluggy, the 85-inch future of creative technology. Performing his electronic pop songs about electronic life with the help of a giant smartphone, Jake turns the private, atomizing smartphone user experience into a source of connection.

Putting this tech-forward approach in conversation with the explosion of radically present and alive forms of comedy happening at and around the Elysian, It All Started the Garage offers its own meta-modern synthesis of screens and theater, story and nonsense, and being truly 'real' in a world grounded by electronic media.

Featuring Marisa Llamas, Nikki Thayer, Chad Fisher, Paul Schlesinger, Kevin Chu and Kenna Fallan
