HELP YOURSELF with Jeffrey Marsh and Jacob Tobia

Are you a weirdo? Are you a sweetie? Are you a trans-loving middle-aged woman of independent means? Then come on down to HELP YOURSELF, a musical review life advice column come to life. Featuring never-before-seen musical performances from your two favorite bearded ladies – aka Jeffrey Marsh and Jacob Tobia – it’s an evening sure to bring you to tears. From laughter, mostly. But also maybe because you feel moved by nonbinary cuties crooning Dolly Parton and Billie Eilish.

Jacob Tobia (they/she) is an Arab American writer, producer, and author of the national bestselling memoir Sissy: A Coming-of-Gender Story. From running across the Brooklyn Bridge in high heels to giving Trevor Noah an on-air makeover on The Daily Show, Jacob helps others embrace the full complexity of their gender, even (and especially) when it’s messy as hell. As an Executive Producer and Creator, they’ve sold multiple trailblazing pilot scripts to major networks: with Hulu & eOne, Showtime & Legendary Television, and most recently HBO Max & Charlize Theron’s company Denver & Delilah. As an actor, Jacob originated the nonbinary character “Double Trouble” on Netflix’s She-Ra and The Princesses of Power and recently starred in Valentine, a short that premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. Their writing has been featured in The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, and TIME, among others. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Jacob is a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 and the OUT 100 and currently lives in Los Angeles.

Jeffrey Marsh (they/them) is a bestselling author, social media star, nonbinary activist, and LGBTQ keynote speaker whose TikToks and compassionate short-form videos have amassed over three billion views to date. According to the LA Times, Jeffrey offers "daily lessons in generosity and kindness, teaching the public about what it means to be trans nonbinary, an ally and a compassionate human." Whether they're working with LGBTQ college students or middle-aged moms, Jeffrey teaches others how to transform their trauma into resilience. Their first book, How To Be You, topped Oprah's Gratitude meter and their second book, Take Your Own Advice, was a #1 Self-Esteem Bestseller on Amazon and named a Best Book by Apple Books. A trailblazer for the nonbinary community for over a decade, Jeffrey has been featured in O Magazine, NewsMax, NBC, and The New York Times, and are a contributor to Rolling Stone, the BBC and RTL Dutch National News. A classically trained cabaret performer and Zen buddhist practitioner for 25 years, Jeffrey currently lives between Los Angeles and San Francisco with their husband.
