EDINBURGH FRINGE PREVIEW DAY SCHEDULE

12:20 PM

Sophie Santos... Is Codependent

Sophie thought they had everything: a life in Brooklyn, a book deal before the age of thirty, and their soulmate of four years. When the pandemic forces Sophie and their girlfriend, Lily, to move NEXT DOOR to Lily’s parents, Lily gets a job two days later... in Pennsylvania. Tormented by the “space” between the two, Sophie’s personified OCD, aka Oliver Charles Davis, reappears and supercharges the codependency imploding the relationship. Whoops.

Desperate to get their girlfriend back, Sophie hires a life coach on WithMyExAgain.net who explains the way to get back with an ex is to become the best version of yourself. Sophie and Oliver travel together toward Sophie’s new life, butting heads and belting out tunes as Sophie learns to love being alone (and maybe their OCD, too).

1:40 PM

Joy's Bed & Breakfast w/ Jessy Morner-Ritt and Izzy Gerasole

Pack your bags and check into the broken down bed & breakfast run by the desperately delusional Joy (Jessy Morner-Ritt) and her stalwart yet surly Butler (Isabella Gerasole).

Part-play, part-clown and part-improvised variety show, this bed & breakfast has welcomed fabulous guests from comedians and musicians to an elderly woman named Lois whom Jessy and Izzy met at a bachelorette party. Each audience member is a guest at the B&B, with their seat becoming their room (complete with mimed doors that Joy knocks on incessantly). Each show concludes with wine, cheese, and a sing-song recounting of the lesson Joy and Butler have learned from the sideways parable they enacted that evening.

Ranked by The Comedy Bureau as one of the best things in comedy 2022, join Joy and Butler in the salon as they navigate mayhem and misadventure in really weird/ugly outfits.

3:00 PM

Two Cats on a Date by Griffin Kelly

Tragically weird. Unnecessarily sexual. Two Cats on a Date is a mixed-media solo show in which Griffin Kelly plays two cats whose romantic dinner kaleidoscopes into a world of intergenerational regret.

With a deceptively simple set, Griffin creates an immersive feline universe that she guides the audience through—at times by force.

It’s a nonstop, deranged adventure with a structure that evolves as the story progresses.

4:20 PM

Claire Woolner: A RETROSPECTION

Claire Woolner, LA based absurdist comedian and award winning studio artist, blows hard on the edges of performance art and swims into surrealism in this absurdist clown confessional. Silly comedic bits, playfully serious pieces and authentic breakdowns make this a work of tragicomedy at its finest.

"Woolner's show A Retrospection is dazzlingly deceptive and beneath her enticing puckish grin lies a depth that could doom a mammoth."-Tvolution, 2023

“Woolner delightfully hits the right sort of absurdist nerve with Retrospection, joyfully playing with abandon and also acutely reflecting our collective unconscious wanting to scream into the void of the 2020s.” Comedy Bureau, 2023

Winner of Top Of the Fringe (Best Overall) at the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival!

6:00 PM

Dillis by Brianna Ahlmark

Brianna Ahlmark will save a dying horse on stage in under 4 hours with a gun in her mouth :)

7:20 PM

Going Up w/ Sara Schaefer

In Going Up, Sara Schaefer teaches you how to unlock your potential in this fake(?) seminar about defeating your hecklers, developing your TS (thick skin) and achieving total perfect comedy success. No matter your walk of life, you can make your dreams come true simply by Going Up!

Going Up is, on its surface, a hilarious recruitment into the cult of comedy. But at its heart, the show is a bold confrontation of a system rampant with abuse, an examination of what it means to be a creative person in today’s world, and Sara’s own reckoning with the tiny voice in her head that tells her she’s not good enough. Combining sharp joke writing, scathing satire, original music and incredibly detailed handmade miniatures, Sara takes the audience on a wholly original journey through the darkness and into the light.

“Ambitious and nimble, sneakily personal with enough inside-baseball jokes to make it a must-see for comedy nerds.” - The New York Times

8:40 PM

Greta Titelman's Exquisite Lies

Greta Titelman invites you to a special hour of intimate storytelling. Come to laugh, maybe cry and absolutely feel alive!

Music Direction from Henry Koperski

10:00 PM

BONHEUR by Cam Gavinski

Every male comedian talks about his dick, but in Bonheur, a coming-of-age musical comedy by Thai-American comedian and Fringe newcomer Cam Gavinski, he talks to his dick: a penis puppet by the name of Pipi LeSpew. Simultaneously skewering toxic-masculinity and the genre of "solo show," Gavinski exposes his most embarrassing story from puberty: when he was blackmailed by a stranger on the internet over his privates going public. 'As funny as you can get!' (Gary Gulman). 'You can learn how to be funny-ish, but Cam has funny in his bones that can't be learned' (Todd Glass).

Doors open 30 minutes before each showtime.

Seating begins 15 minutes before showtime, there is NO LATE SEATING. Seats are assigned on a first come first served basis, from the front of the theatre to the back. If you want to sit closer, be sure to arrive earlier.

Shows start no later than 10 MINUTES after the scheduled show time.
