*SOLD OUT* Currents

CURRENTS is a performance series spearheaded by Hallie Cooper-Novack and Jane Casey Modderno. It features a group of fresh one-act plays written in response to an ethically sticky current event. For our third installment, each piece reacts to the phenomenon of tradwives— hot influencer ideologues who are going all in on 1950s-style housewifery and racking up millions of followers in the process.

This installment includes short-and-punchy plays by Maya Kazan, Franchesca Ramsey, Kate Thulin, and Claire Woolner -- with musical interludes by Joyeur and the Waterloos

It features performances from Rebecca Delgado Smith (Gordita Chronicles, The Good Place), Jasmine Elist (Mr. Corman, Fresh Off the Boat), Wyatt Fair (sketch comedy group Shrimp Boys, opener for Sarah Squirm), Leah Henoch (Blackish, The Blackout), Eve Lindley (Dispatches from Elsewhere, National Anthem), Adam Lustik (Corporate, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Jessy Morner-Ritt (Joy's Bed & Breakfast, Funny or Die 2022 Lab Series at Dynasty Typwriter), Hayley Marie Norman (Kenan, Comedy Bang Bang), Franchesca Ramsey (Superstore, MTV Decoded), Kate Thulin (Ramy, Corporate), Patrick Woodall (Plus One, Special)

Our morph suit team is Max Charbonneau, Kevin Chu, Kallie Cifra, Jackie Cotter, Kat Mondor, McKenna Tedford-Coles

This show is SOLD OUT. There will be a standby line at the door 30 min before showtime.

A former writer/correspondent for Comedy Central’s "The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore," her first book, "Well That Escalated Quickly" was nominated for an NAACP award and named one of Amazon’s best books of 2018. In 2020 she served as writer/co-producer on the "iCarly" reboot for Paramount+ and guest starred on NBC’s "Superstore."
