Q&A with Magda San Milan

Creator of The Human Musician

What is your show? A liberated brain accidentally figuring out how to hump itself into an orgasmic revelation. And you get to watch. And your brain just might learn a trick or two. Pay special attention to any sensations in the lobes of your brain the night after you see the show, as you lay in bed dozing off.

What makes your show unique or unusual? It refuses to be impressive so thoroughly that it becomes a disgusting new kind of impressive. It's like a Buzz Lightyear dress on sale at Target for young girls. It's that, but the art version.

Which part of our brain will be lit up the most during this show? The same part that gets lit up when you wake up from a dream in which you did something sexual with someone you shouldn't have and you can't tell for ten minutes if you actually did it and ruined your life or if you didn't and it was just a dream.

Let’s say we’d like to microdose before the show. What do you recommend? I would say: microdose sex. Come to the show with someone who can suggestively touch your inner thigh on the way over to the theater in the car. That's microdosing sex. The show is best viewed in a state of heightened, suspended anticipation.

Describe your show in 5 words: What the?! Indulgent. Suggestive. Soft.

The Human Musician premieres on Wednesday, October 26th at 9:30pm. Get tickets here!
